What are ombre brows?
Ombre brow tattooing is a semi-permanent procedure that uses a machine to implant the pigment into the skin. Once healed the brow tattoo would have faded about 30%. Healed result is best compared to a hybrid tint.
How many sessions are needed to complete my tattoo?
All appointments require two treatments. Your second appointment is a perfecting visit where we make necessary adjustments. Your perfecting session will be booked 4-8 weeks after your initial appointment and is necessary to complete your brow tattoo. If you have little to no natural brow hair, you may require a third appointment at an additional cost. This will be discussed with you at your first appointment consultation.
Do I need to shape my brows before my appointment?
No, we recommend you to leave them if you can, as you may remove more then we need. We will do a full custom brow shape before the treatment.
Can I wear make up to my appointment?
Yes you can wear makeup on the day to your appointment if you wish. We will remove what we need to before starting.
How is my brow tattoo colour chosen?
We have a wide range of colours and can create a custom shade to suit each individuals skin tone and hair colour. If you tint your brows because they are too light then you will need to continue to tint them after they are tattooed as the cosmetic tattoo only colours the skin behind the hairs, not the hairs themselves. We recommend to wait at least 3 weeks after the procedure before tinting them again.
Will my brow tattoo hurt?
We use anesthetics to numb the treatment area before and during the procedure which makes each treatment pretty comfortable for you. Each client experiences pain differently. We manage each client accordingly to keep you as pain free as possible. Emla cream can also be purchased from pharmacies and applied one hour before your appointment.
How long will it take for my brow tattoo to settle?
The first couple of days your brows will appear darker than your chosen colour. This is because the pigment hasn't healed under the skin yet. The best time to have a good look at the brow colour is three weeks after your first appointment. The colour will then be much softer and settled in the skin. Your artist will go through the full healing process with you in your consultation.
How long will my brow tattoo last?
We recommend coming back for your colour boost between 12-18 months. When we do the colour boost often we will put through a orange toner like colour to warm the brows out if they have gone a slightly more cooler tone plus of course sharpen them up/add more colour to them.
